Coach Alan McDougal was born in Sherman, Texas. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1992 where he was a three-year varsity letterman for the Bearcats. Coach McDougal went to Baylor University and was a member of the Baylor Baseball team for two years. He graduated from Baylor in 1996 with a BA in History and a minor in Math. He received his Master's Degree in Educational Administration in 2012 from UT-Arlington. Coach McDougal teaches Advanced Algebra at CHHS. This is Coach McDougal's 23rd year in coaching, his 15th year as a head coach and his 14th year at CHHS. He previously coached at Boswell High School, Fort Worth Arlington Heights and Commerce.
Coach McDougal is the proud father of Jaxon (10) and Maxwell (3).
Coach Jon Pavliska "Coach Pav" graduated from Arlington Lamar High School in 1995 where he played 3 years of football and baseball. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Before coming to GCISD, Coach Pav was the Head Baseball coach at Arlington Oakridge for 8 years. 2018 will be coach Pav's 7th year teaching in GCISD and 17th year overall.
Coach Pav has been married to Jeanie for 12 years. They have 2 sons: Kallin (8) and Kinsler (2).
