Brian Tickell - Assistant Coach Coach Tickell was born in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1993 where he was a 3 year letterman in baseball. He continued his playing career at McLennan Community College. As a freshman he earned All-Region honors as a pitcher. After his sophmore year Coach Tickell was given an opportunity to play in the Houston Astros organization. In his first year in the Astros minor league system he played for the Auburn Astros and the second year was with the Quad City River Bandits. After concluding his professional career in 1997, he graduated from the University of North Texas in 2001 with a BA in Kinesiology. This is Tickell's 1st year at Colleyville Heritage where he teaches Geometry. The previous 5 years, Coach Tickell was the varsity assistant at South Grand Prairie High School. He also served as the team's pitching coach. Coach Tickell is very excited about being a member of the coaching staff here at Colleyville Heritage. He understands the tradition and winning attitude of CHHS. Coach Tickell just celebrated his 8th year of marriage to wife, A.J., with their miniature schnauzer, Sophie.
