Coach Chris McMullen graduated from Mansfield High School in 2005 where he was a 3 year letterman of the baseball team. He continued his baseball career as a pitcher at Cisco Junior College for the 2006-2007 seasons and then Dallas Baptist University as a member of the baseball team for the 2008-2009 seasons. The 2008 season saw DBU make a regional appearance for the 1 st time in program history. After graduating from DBU in 2010, Coach McMullen started his coaching career at Arlington High School in
2011 where he served 2 years as the freshmen coach and 2 years as the varsity assistant. While at Arlington High he was able to work with Jaylen Ferguson who was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in
2015.
In 2015 he was hired as the head baseball coach at Mansfield Legacy at 28 years old. He served as the head coach for 8 seasons and had a win loss record of 192-67. His teams made the playoffs every year and were in the 5A top 10 pre-season rankings 4 times and in the top 10 post season rankings 3 times. For 6 consecutive seasons his teams finished in 1 st place, with 4 district championships and twice finishing tied for 1 st . He has been named District Coach of the Year 3 times. In 2022, Coach McMullen led Legacy to the 5A state tournament for the 1 st time in program history and is the only baseball team from Mansfield ISD to appear in the state tournament. For this, Coach McMullen was awarded Coach of the Year by the Dallas Morning News. While at Legacy he saw 2 players get drafted – Nate Rombach in 2019 by the Miami Marlins and Dylan Schlaegel by the Boston Red Sox in 2023. The 2024 season will be his 1st as the head coach for CHHS.
Coach McMullen teaches Algebra 1. He has been married to his wife Kalee for 10 years and they have 2
boys, Jack (4) and Beau (2).
Coach Jon Pavliska "Coach Pav" graduated from Arlington Lamar High School in 1995 where he played 3 years of football and baseball. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Before coming to GCISD, Coach Pav was the Head Baseball coach at Arlington Oakridge for 8 years. 2022 will be coach Pav's 10th year teaching in GCISD and 20th year overall.
Coach Pav has been married to Jeanie for 16 years.
They have 2 sons: Kallin (11) and Kinsler (6)

Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Brandon Bounds graduated from Mansfield High School in 2000 where he played football, basketball and baseball. While at Mansfield High, Coach Bounds received numerous accolades including District MVP and All-Area MVP. Coach Bounds was drafted out of high school by the Chicago White Sox, but played 1 season for the defending junior college national champions - Grayson Community College before signing with the White Sox. He spent 4 seasons with the White Sox and while in the minor leagues was selected as an All-Star and won a championship.
Once his playing career ended, Coach Bounds began coaching with Oakridge private school before going to Arlington Martin and was there from 2016-2023 serving 5 years as the varsity assistant and his last 2 was promoted to interim head coach while the previous coach took a leave of absence. In his time at
Arlington Martin, they made the playoffs every year and was 22-6 as the interim head coach. 2024 will be his first year at CHHS.
Coach Bounds and his wife Amanda have 3 children: Kamryn (18), Karsyn(11) and Harbor (4).
Coach Derrick Clement graduated from Keller Central High School in 2015 where he played both football and baseball. He continued his baseball and academic career at Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU), where he was a four year scholarship player and graduated with his Secondary Education Degree.
After graduation Coach Clement started his teaching and coaching career at Molina High School in Dallas, Texas. At Molina Coach Clement was a part of two back to back district championship seasons in the 2021 and 2022. In the fall of 2022 Coach Clement transitioned to Brewer High School where he served as the assistant head baseball coach for two years and the varsity running backs coach for the 2023 football season. 2024 will be Coach Clement's 5th year teaching and 1st year at CHHS.
Nick Uremovich
Assistant Coach
Coach Nick Uremovich graduated from Colleyville Heritage in 2011, playing football and baseball for the Panthers. Coach Uremovich attended North Lake College for one year, then graduated from Kansas State University in 2015. A proud K-State alum, Coach Uremovich got his degree in Secondary Education with certifications in English and Journalism. Previously, Coach Uremovich spent one year at Creekview Middle School, followed by two years at Boswell High School. Along with coaching the freshman baseball team, he is an assistant offensive line coach with the football program and a teacher in the English department.
Coach Uremovich has been married to his wife, Caitlin, since January of 2021.
